College Radio Day is here

Hundreds of college and high school campuses all over the nation are coming together today for the 5th Annual College Radio Day! This year’s theme: “Your Authentic Guide to the Next Generation of Music.”

From 7 A.M. until midnight, WMCO 90.7 FM will have non-stop live programming, including a remote broadcast from the Quad at 11 A.M. and a College Radio Day simulcast at 1 P.M.

The purpose of College Radio Day is to highlight the importance of college radio as a medium. College (and high school) radio stations are often the only non-commercial stations who will regularly play music from new, undiscovered artists. Many current famous artists got their big break on college stations!

This day is also our way to give back to the listeners. The Orbit has been broadcasting for 55 years, and we really appreciate the love and support that Muskingum University and the entire New Concord Community has provided us! Thank you for listening!

You can find out which DJs will be in the studio here. Listen live on Tune In or our WMCO App, or by clicking the link at the top of the page.
