The Muskie Men’s Basketball team fell at home to #7 John Carroll 97-91.
Jarrell Marsh led the Muskie attack with a career-high 34 points in the contest, while Jacob Geller added a season-high 21 points off of 7-11 shooting from behind the 3-point arc.
The Muskies opened the contest on a swift 9-2 run led entirely by Marsh, before settling in to a one point halftime lead, 40-39.
John Carroll battled back in the second half, in a back-and-forth fight that saw three lead changes, the only three times the lead changed hands the entire game.
Doug Caputo led the Blue Streaks with 20 points, going 7-10 from the field, including 6-8 from the free-throw line.
The win keeps the Blue Streaks undefeated at 13-0 overall, and 6-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
The loss puts the Muskies at 3-10 on the year, and in the midst of an eight game losing streak. The Muskies will look to snap that slump when they take on Mount Union on the road on Wednesday, Jan. 13. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
