Muskingum University’s 170th Undergraduate Commencement was held Saturday, May 9, 2015 in The Recreation Center. Commencement Speaker John Gardner ’68 addressed the Class of 2015. Gardner and Baccalaureate speaker D. Craig Nordlund received Doctor of Humane Letters honors before the presentation of diplomas. Nordlund encouraged graduates to “exhibit the same caring support and stability you have shown fellow Muskies to people you meet in the vast unknown across the abyss” and to become involved in local community organizations to better their future.

Senior Class Representative Dani Crown ’15 addressed her classmates and Professor Gene Alesandrini charged the new graduates on behalf of the faculty. Chairman Hal Burlingame encouraged the new members of the Long Magenta Line to “fulfill the great promise that we see in you, and try to achieve the great potential that Muskingum has matured in you.” Watch complete video from the ceremony on YouTube.
