Garrett Killian sworn in as new village councilman

New Concord resident, Garret Killian is the newest village council member as of Monday Dec. 9. Killian was sworn in just before the village council meeting that evening with his wife and daughter in attendance. He was sworn in by fellow council member Levi Shegog.

Killian was appointed by village council to fill the seat until the term ends on Dec. 31, 2025.  He was appointed by a unanimous vote during the Nov. 18 meeting according to Steve Wooton, the council president. 

The next New Concord village council meeting is Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in village hall. The event is open to the public and can be heard live on WMCO, 90.7 FM. Village council meetings re-air on Sundays at noon and 10 p.m. as well as Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m.
