Student films earn national nominations from College Broadcasters, Inc

Two student filmmakers from Muskingum University have been nominated for national honors by the 2025 CBI College Broadcasters Inc.

JW Dennison, a May 2025 graduate in Journalism, is nominated for Best Short Documentary for “Ohio is Home.” Sam Pollock, a Media Production major graduating in December 2025, received a nomination for Best Long Form Fiction Film for “Scout: Siege from Within.” Dennison and Pollock completed the projects during their senior seminar class in spring of 2025.

The winners will be announced at the CBI National Student Electronic Media Convention, taking place October 22–25 in Denver, Colorado. A group of Muskingum journalism and media production students will travel to the conference to participate in workshops, panels, and networking opportunities with media professionals from across the country.
