The Muskingum Men’s Basketball Team fell to Heidelberg 93-87 on Saturday but that wasn’t what all of the buzz has been about over the past few days.

Logan Kimble was able to hit 1,000 points even on Saturday in the last seconds of the game. Kimble finished the game with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and he became part of an exclusive club at Muskingum that involves just 29 other members.

The Muskies found themeselves down seven heading into the locker room at halftime, with the score 45-38. The Muskies struggled shutting down Marcquice Taylor as he was able to score 14 points on 4-6 shooting in the first.

The second half wasn’t much different as Taylor would finish the game with 26 points and 4 steals.

Leading the Muskies in the losing effort was Cody Seiler who scored 19 points and grabbed 9 boards.

The Muskies (6-15, 3-11) now sit at eighth in the OAC standings tied with Capital. The Muskies will play at Capital Wednesday at 7 p.m in a game with many tournament implications.
