Cambridge native Adam Calvert visits WMCO

Cambridge native singer/songwriter Adam Calvert visited WMCO’s studio in August. WMCO Program Director Brice Lillibridge interviewed Calvert during his live weekly radio show Thursday, Aug. 27.

Calvert has opened for artists including Parmalee, Canaan Smith, Phil Vassar, Martina McBride, Marty Haggard, James Otto, B.J. Thomas, and Marty Stuart.

Calvert began singing at five years old. Calvert moved to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee as a young teen where he made his start as an entertainer. He plays several instruments including the guitar, piano, and the violin.

Calvert enjoys touring around the country performing at fairs and festivals. Calvert’s single, “Sun-Kissed Summertime,” reached #1 on WMCO’s charts. During his New Concord visit, Calvert performed a live concert at Wally’s Pizza.

Calvert credits Garth Brooks, George Strait, Allen Stone, and John Legend as musical influences. He listens to to all genres of music.
