Griffin House is this week’s new number one on WMCO’s Top 20 chart. Their song “15 Minutes of Fame” has been spun 38 times in-between Oct. 28-Nov. 4.

Griffin House

Griffin House was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. House played golf in high school and had an athletic scholarship to Ohio University. He turned it down and purchased a guitar from a friend for $100 dollars. He then went to Miami University in Oxford and practiced his craft.

House released his first independent record in 2003, entitled Upland. He released several albums afterwards as an independent artist.

House has opened for well-known artists like John MellencampMat Kearny, and The Cranberries. House currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

Our DJs enjoy the alternative story telling that House portrays in this song. To me, there’s a Bruce Springsteen feel. The story of the lyrics does a great job of giving the listener a mental image of what’s going on. The lyrics also allow one’s mind to relax.
