WMCO Artist Spotlight | The Inoculated Canaries

Continuing with the theme from the last three weeks, we’ll take a deep dive into another new artist on WMCO.

The Inoculated Canaries have been making music since 2013. Their music sounds like classic rock mixed with new recording technology. Their website describes their sound as Deep Purple and The Foo Fighters.

Our DJs crave their single “Who are you?”. Our Music Librarian David McDonald and I have also spun the track on our show Something Old, Something New. Last week we compared their sound with Fall Out Boy as the music has strong rock roots and really unique modern musical elements.

The band wrote on their website their influences include rock legends Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and The Allman Brothers.

What I really enjoyed about The Inoculated Canaries is they look like your average joes but their sound is unmistakable. I’d highly recommend this group if you’re missing the sound of yesteryear’s classic rock!

Be sure to tune into Something Old, Something New on Tuesday and Friday at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on WMCO. You’ll hear David and me review music on WMCO and you’ll hear great new artists!
