Muskingum Soccer Selects Team Captains

Muskingum womens soccer head coach Mary Beth Caudill has selected the team captains for the 2019 season. Senior midfielder Abigail Wagner, senior defender Julia Prokopchak, and junior goalkeeper Katie Bodenmiller will lead the team this fall.

Wagner and Prokopchak are team captains for the second straight year. Wagner has started 47 games while helping control the midfield for the Lady Muskies. Prokopchak has started 51 games and has been a strong leader on the backline. Bodenmiller played in 14 games as goalie last season for the Lady Muskies, recording a team-high 103 saves and winning four games on the year. Muskingum opens the season on Friday, Aug. 30 at Earlham at 3 p.m.


Muskingum mens soccer head coach Adam Ponder has chosen the team captains for the 2019 season. Junior midfielder Michael Horgan and senior midfielder Blake Horne will lead the Muskies during their fall campaign. Horgan is a returning captain who started all 18 games last season while controlling the midfield and earning Honorable Mention All-OAC honors.

Horne played in 16 games and started 13 times last season for the Muskies. He recorded two assists and helped control the midfield. Muskingum opens their season at Pitt-Greensburg Friday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m.
